DETAILED TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF RFID-AC SYSTEM OPERATION

Proximity cards Access Control systems [RFID-AC], based on RFID proximity card readers RFID.xxxU-AC series allow free movement in and around objects for authorized persons and guard access from unauthorized persons.

RFID proximity card readers operating in Access Control system can register 1 status, so called ‘AC event : in/out' or 1 T&A status : start/end work hours. Certain proximity card readers have function buttons and the ability to register 2, 4, 6 or more T&A statuses, so-called events:

  • start-end work hours
  • on-duty in/out (business)
  • off-duty in/out (personal)

A proximity reader has got memory storage of up to 30.000 proximity cards and records up to 50.000 events. All events (AC/T&A statuses) are stored in the internal memory of the RFID readers. Data is sent and downloaded from the RFID or biometric terminal using:

  • local LAN network
  • wide WAN network
  • RS232/485 serial communications

    • or optionally:

  • WIFI network
  • GPRS network
  • PenDrive device

DETAILED TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF USER AUTHORIZATION

In case of using a proximity card reader without a keyboard (function buttons) the users of the Access Control system [RFID-AC] place their proximity card close to the RFID reader and wait for correct authorization.

Proximity RFID readers or biometric readers operating in Access Control systems based on: RFID proximity cards [RFID-AC/T&A], FINGERPRINT [BIOFINGER-AC/T&A], FACE GEOMETRY [BIOFACE-AC/T&A] or PIN codes, are chosen based on technical conditions in certain buildings and individual expectations of Customers.

Proximity or biometric readers collaborate with any type of doors (wooden, metal, glass, anti-burglar, other) and any type of electric door lock.


The PTC SECURITY SYSTEMS company has invented and implemented a copyrighted idea for integration of biometric readers with advanced alarm control panel INTEGRA series or CA-64 by the SATEL company. Basic advantage of integration of systems is the direct collaboration with the expander of proximity card reader CA-64SR. Using a signal converter allows to:

  • automatically disarm the alarm system where a correct authorization of a user was made
  • monitor events in SATEL company system
